Hotel Italia is located in the Occhiobello’s main area of manufacturing businesses and serves as a strategic logistics hub.

However, just a few kilometers inland, travelers can immerse themselves in the rural landscape of the Polesine region and enjoy a slower, more authentic local experience.

The current managers of Hotel Italia maintain deep roots in the area, despite having happily "contaminated" themselves with other cultures: they continue the family business by offering employment opportunities for the local population as well.

The Management operates responsibly in the management of the accommodation facility by adopting every possible measure to contain pollution and to improve the reception of people with disabilities.

This comprehensive 360° focus on sustainability has been formalized in a policy document: the HOTEL ITALIA SUSTAINABILITY CHARTER.

We are continuously working to improve our facilities and services, with a particular focus on accessibility for individuals with physical or visual impairments. Planned enhancements include the installation of an elevator, an increase in the number of accessible restroom facilities, and a website designed to be accessible to the visually impaired.

Our history is deeply rooted in the local area. Founded by the Prearo family, Hotel Italia is the result of the redevelopment of an old industrial site, blending tradition and innovation. While offering a modern and minimalist atmosphere, the exterior architecture recalls the area's manufacturing past, blending harmoniously into the Occhiobello landscape.

Although our current clientele isn’t primarily focused on local, destination-based experiences, we’re developing a diverse range of offerings to welcome various types of travelers. Commitment to the Local Community

HI Hotel Italia provides ongoing job opportunities for the local population, promoting fair and regular employment contracts. We value women’s presence in the workforce and offer opportunities to the younger generations, with a view to ensuring a smooth generational handover.

Environmental Sustainability and Sharing

Aware that our location is near a traffic road, we are taking concrete measures to mitigate noise and air pollution. The green fence dampens noise and limits fine particles, while the renovation of the premises includes the installation of highly insulating windows and doors.

Reduction of Energy Waste

We are planning significant interventions to use electricity from renewable sources, through the installation of photovoltaic panels. Water consumption is controlled with low-flow faucets and latest-generation appliances.

Separate Waste Collection and Emissions Offsetting

We systematically practice waste separation, raising awareness among both staff and guests. We use glass and ceramic tableware, and when necessary, recyclable disposable tableware. We offset CO2 emissions by planting trees around the property.

Our culinary offerings focus on breakfast and coffee service, featuring coffee blends roasted by a local ISO-certified production facility, quality teas and herbal teas, and Italian milk. We offer artisanal cakes, including light and vegan options. Upon request, we offer savory breakfasts with eggs, cold cuts, and cheeses, preferably local. Traditional desserts are also available, such as sbrisolona cake and tiramisu, symbols of Occhiobello's cultural fusion. We reduce food waste with careful portioning and recycle leftovers, especially baked goods.
